![]() Purchased a 1996 23 classic with below deck live well. Won't splash the boat till early May. How do I empty the live well with boat still in the water?
Thanks |

![]() Yes there is a livewell pump that pumps water out. The wash down pump is what puts water into the well. Should have a switch on dash labeled “livewell” and a separate switch labeled “wash down”. Inside the well there is a valve that allows water in when wash down pump is on. The plug on bottom is to empty the residualthat doesn’t get pumped out and that goes right into the bilge make sure it’s closed when pump is running or you will fill your bilge.
