I haven't been out solo down here yet, there's a few Onslow 27s on the bay but I think only two of us with black verados. It could have been me though as I had been taking some rides with my girlfriend to get my track lines right for oyster creek and double creek channels.

Duck hunted down this way for a long time, but it's different running the big boat.

Good trip again yesterday. Fished a bit East of our last trip out past the 30 line today and stuck a nice over. Missed the best morning feeds but got this 66" to come up and eat a shimano orca in a group of porpoise.

A real mean fish we all got a turn on the rod and after 40 minutes or so I got a harpoon shot. The fish proceeded to peel off 200 ft of dart line before stopping. Trollers were getting some unders but we had our fill of meat and came in early.

Probably about the max sized fish I'd want to deal with on a popping rod. Caught on an El Maestro 77H and Stella 14k.
