Default Regulator 23 Livewell drain

I bought new pumps for the Livewell on my 01 23 classic, however the pump out pump leaks as the drain hose is old and brittle where it comes into the bilge. I also believe it is cracked somewhere between the well and bilge. I want to replace the hose, however I think there is a through hull fitting that is secured behind the drain in the Livewell that you cannot get to in the bilge compartment. Has anyone replaced the drain hose before? We have been trying everything and it looks like we will have to cut a hole in the Livewell tank in order to get the job done correctly. Any advice would be greatly apretiated.

If yours is anything like mine, the screen inside livewell uncrews and you should be able to pull out hose.

Did you replace the whole pump or just the cartridge? I had an issue with a cracked pump housing once right where the hose attached.

Replaced the whole pump because we broke the housing unmounting the pump. There is only about an inch or so of old drain hose coming into the bilge and we can’t can’t get a good connection/seal on the new pump.
