Default My 23FS Might be up for Sale

Just a heads up.
I have to go in for some major back surgery this year and looks like my boating days are over.
I have to figure out an asking price for her, but when I do, she should be available at Gateway Marina in Highlands.

2011 23Fs with F300 (about 200 hrs)
C120W and C90W with radar
2 Vhf's
Fusion 650 stereo with JL Audio
On board battery charger
T top rod holders
Deck and overhead lighting
New AGM batteries

Frank nothing is over...Just put on hold for a little. Plenty of guys I know had back surgery and after a little time they're good to go. They've come a long way with procedures from years ago. Let me know if you need anything.
Hate to see the boat sold but someone is going to get a great deal on a well cared for boat.

Hope you reconsider - wait and see how you feel a few months from now. You can always sell later; you cant take it back.

Anyway, I linked your post to THT where someone is looking for a 23FS w/ 4S

Default surgery

I had major cervical spine surgery in May 2016 - fused 4 levels and three level laminectomy - no fun - wore collar for 12 weeks but was able to use my boat in August and now have no ongoing issues aside from some understandable reduced flexibility in neck . . . keep the faith and best wishes

Default Keep 'er

I'd hold onto that until you experience the outcome of your surgery. I have a 2010 23' that's pretty similar. Prices are going up so the cost to get back into a similar boat plus the cost of transactions would likely be much more than the cost of ownership for the season that you don't use it during recovery.

Thanks for all the replies. After giving it a lot of thought, I decided to hold onto her till I know the results of the surgery. She'll be sitting in storage for a year.

Great call. The stuff docs can do these days is amazing and the recovery times are quicker than expected. Good luck with it all. see you on the water!

Absolutely hold on to her till you find out how you do. A good clean Regulator is so hard/expensive to replace.
