Default Radar pedestal height

Looking to install a raymarine randome radar on the hardtop
of my 23 fs. I have a acr searchlight on it. Was
wondering on what height pedestal I would need
to use. Any suggestions on brands would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Berniek

6" forward tilt SeaScan. I do not have a spotlight but it made all the difference in the world.

I emailed Al and he said they mount the radar domes right to the top. What kind of difference did the pedestal make? Iím about to mount a Simrad 4G.

Sea Scan 6" forward lean. Not sure of angle. I did not use the light bar. I fabbed a longer pole on my anchor light which is mounted on an antennae rachet mount. I ran the straight to the dome and not through the bottom.

You will want your radar level when running. So you need to take into consideration the running attitude of your boat. When on plane will your radar be level?

You are typically looking at 4* to 0* for tilt.

Straight, angled front, or back is up to your mounting position on your top.

My tilt down is 6* I think. It also came with washers for further adjustment that I did not use.
