Default 26 Teaser Reels

ok guys I know this has been chatted about but I need to know! I am going to do pancake style teaser reels under the hard top, primarily for marlin fishing. I am leaning towards the reel colors as they seem to have good marks. I spoke to the owner and he recommended the 10" models. Anybody have these or similar and also location of mounting. Thanks in advance!!

Default Teaser Reels

Interested in doing the same thing have been hunting for the pancake teaser reels since this past Spring. Sea Sucker has a nice dual reel set up where you donít need to drill any permanent holes just looking to get a pair at a good buy. Wife would kill me if I spend $600 on something only going to be used a handful of times......

I have 2 center consoles with teaser reel set ups. My regulator has the sport teaser pancake reels and they are great if you want pancakes. My other boat has rod holders mounted on each side of the helm in the gunnels. I use shimano tyrnos 50 2 speeds mounted on bent butt teaser rods on each side. This set up is much easier to tease fish and functions much better. After using both set ups for years I would never spend the money on pancake teaser reels again. The benefits of using the teaser rod/reel set up are:

- not uncomfortable on your shoulders teasing fish up and reeling teasers in
- remove from boat when not in use so the aren't in the weather
- teaser lines on smaller center console outriggers are easier to set up and function better his way
- you can use the reels for other things when needed
- if you sell the boat the rods/reels stay with you
