Adding the LED spreaders

Next up, tore apart the wiring and replacing electronics and Buss/Fuse blocks. This will be what i work on this week...running the Garmin Radar cable through the T-Top is going to be "FUN". Looks like a cut and splice will be required (Garmin makes a kit for this... WHY they make the ends so large is amazing to me)

Engine work:
Replaced all 3 LP fuel pumps
VST Filter / Inline filter
Thermostats
Spark Pulgs
Poppet valve (it was time, pic below)
O2 sensor soaked in Seafoam and cleaned
Hot Soak SeaFoam treatment
Next up
- Drain all oil and clean oil reservoir. then replace oil with Pennzoil LTF Syn Blend
- LU Oil replacment
- Water pump replacement

The fun is beginning. Hoping to launch by the end of the month.,

Chris

Would love to hear how all that work on the motor goes, should do great. I miss the simplicity of the old OX66.

its amazing that almost the entire engine is a 10mm socket. Everything is easy access. My old boat had an optimax, just to change the lower plugs i had to drop the lower cowl to get access.

when i first fired her up i had some coughing and heavy smoke and a super high idle. Not shes running smooth and still a bit high on the idle once she warms ... 9-1000rpm.. i would like to see her at 7-900rpm.

the poppet valve was VERY caked with salt/sand. Glad i replaced it and serviced it.

Chris

A decarb would probably help. Caution, it will get VERY smokey for a while. May want to do it on a windy day.

Happy with the Spreader light output. For 15Bucks a set, Tough to beat that:
