Hopefully you have a better day tomorrow.

Bashing Regulators hardly, I love Regulators and said so in my post, not sure where I am bashing Regulators at all.

I just answered both questions I was asked honestly.

I would buy another 23 or 26 Classic again if it fit into my needs.

Sorry if I offended anyone

I'm not sure comparing similar sized boats with way different power is a fair comparison. You had a 26 with 200s now a 27 with 350s (the 27 OB was originally sold as a 23 foot boat BTW) . If you took a 26 and put 350s on it, 4 blades, raised the engines one or two spots and let her rip, I bet the boat would have dramatically different running characteristics than the old 26 with 200s you remember.

Here is a 26 with twin 300R on the back...boat hits 67 when pinned.

I do agree however that Regulator always seems to under-power their boats but that has always been their philosophy...run a bit slower, let the hull design do what it's build to do and be comfortable.

Do I think a 26 (or 25 now) should come with twin 300s...yes.

Do I think the 31 should come with twin 425s. (or at least 400s). Yes

But reality is that they don't and comparing your boat with twin 350s to the 26 with 200s or even 250s isn't apples to apples.

I really like the OB boats. If I ever moved up, the 33 might be my move...

Regardless, I'm glad you like your boat and are happy with it. I've heard a lot of great things about them.

Agreed, I would love to see Regulator make a non forward seating 26-27 with less creature comforts and more HP. That video is pretty cool and goes to show what more hp gets you.
