Default 34 with trips, prop options

Hey guys, new to the board and a new 34 owner. Just wondering if anyone has done any prop work to gain fuel economy. Currently running the stock props and best I see with medium load is 1.1-1.3. Was hoping to have a little more range for overnight canyon runs. Thanks

997RS - did you get a chance to fool around with any other props yet? Re-powering my 34 with trips this winter and wondering the same thing.

I spoke to Ken at Propgods and he hasn't done more than a couple of the 34's with trips and the results didn't sound very promising. So to answer your question I have not done anything. At this point I want to get a full season under my belt and make sure its something I really need to do.

Makes sense. I'm starting from scratch and leaning towards trying the Enertia Eco's to see if I can improve cruise economy. Also working with Ken. I'm up in the northeast so won't be trying props out til spring but will stay in touch if I have any luck with something other than the Yamaha SWS props that Regulator rigs.

Default 34 props

Curious if you guys ever started playing with props yet?

I inquired about trying some new props a couple of years ago and got the same answer. Not many people have made a prop change yet and really didn't hear any mind blowing performance results with the ones that did.

Would love to hear some positive results on the Ecos. It's an expensive experiment to be the guinea pig on though..

Not yet. Re-power going well but not complete yet. Hoping to splash her next weekend. Starting with the Yamaha SWSII, going to record actual numbers and then check in with Ken to see if anything worth trying. If I make any changes will report back.
