Default 26 FS Giant fishing

I am looking for a 26' and see most are the forward seating model. I was wondering if anyone on here has on and how do you fish off the bow for Giant Tuna with swivel rod holders or do you? We will be fishing mostly east of Chatham and backside of the Nantucket and Vineyard. Is there enough room on the gunwale to be able to sit and straddle the rod while you fight a fish if you have swivel rod holders mounted up there?

My experience is with a 26 classic model off Chatham. I have also fished an FS off Chatham. The FS model, in my opinion, is not fishable in the bow unless it's very calm and you can stand on the seats and cast. You'll be fighting them from a corner swivel...arguably the best location. I guess you could kneel and fight a fish with a bow swivel but can't imagine it would be that practical. Highly recommend a classic model.

I have a 26FS and I giant fish out of the bow. My 90* rod holder is dead center. I have a bow rail on my boat. I just sit up there facing the rod and have no issues. On really nasty days I'll kneel. Lots of people up this way have no problem fighting them out of the bow on the 26FS. If it's that much of an issue for you, I fight them midship as well.

same as above, sit and straddle the rod up front or stand midships. I would add that if I had a choice I would say no FS but its manageable. It is really nice on calm days getting a bit more elevation up there but other than that its only good for crusing around with the girls.
