Interesting. A 12-13 lb Danforth type anchor should hold a Regulator 23 in any winds short of a hurricane. I haven't experienced more than about 25 in my Reg but the same size/model held my 23 ft...

Why do you care? Pick the highest capacity, high-quality bilge pump that won't blow the fuse or circuit breaker (whichever you have) and install it.

The large, locking forward rod & fish box on my 23 locks itself from the vibration, etc, while running. It locks and unlocks fine with the tool but the self-locking is a pain. Has anyone else...

Thanks, now I see. But having to cut the deck for the fuel tank (like most boats) was a step back, IMO, but maybe that's what allowed enlarging the tank.

Technology is not new, just new to Suzuki. Look around, you'll find a Yamaha outboard about 20 years ago. Also, Volvo had it for years in I/O. It might answer some of your questions.
