I also carry a piece of that pipe and 2 slip on connectors in case I need to repair a break on the water. You can get those at Lowes. They may have the valve also now but I had to order mine.

You may want to check the line where it crosses the hawse pipe opening. Mine started leaking there and I figured out the sun had turned a small section very brittle.

The valve is something like this. I do not remember the OD, maybe 1/2"?? Just cut the pipe and push it on.

Gil, My guy Sal is swamped due to the weather. He was supposed to do my glasswork starting around Easter.

You may want to call Dave Kohlus in Montauk. He's very good.

I know of another guy in MTK who sprays but the guy is too fucking moody. Can't stand dealing with people like that, especially when I'm paying them to work for me.

Is your boat in Lou Grigno's yard up there?

Apologies for not getting back to you sooner. I'd still like to get up there one of these days to take a quick look at the battery wiring. Hate for short notice but today would work. Maybe noonish, early afternoon. Or next weekend (1/17, 1/18). Whatever is good for you. Home # 668-3716 or Cell 631-402-3449 Thanks. --Harry

I can usually sneak out of the office during the week. Late mornings and early afternoons work best as I'm usually preparing my teams in the early morning and following up with them in the afternoon. Weekends work too. Let me know what is convenient for you. I'm around this week.

Gil, yes I would love to come check out the layout. One of my friends is the service manager in a marina in Montauk so I don't have to buy crimpers which saves me around $265. I've just been taking things apart slowly past few days. About to post some updated pics. What is your schedule like this time of year? Are you available on weekdays during the day or is it best to shoot up there on a weekend. Thanks, --Harry Cell # 631-402-3449

    Harry,

I have an '03. The batteries are located in the console. You are welcome to come have a look. I have a door in the shrink wrap. Let me know if you want to stop by. Otherwise I can send you photos.

Along with my battery project, I've also decided to remove the head this winter. The original carpeted (and mildewed) panels are going to be replaced with 1/2" white Starboard. I'm also ripping off the carpeting that was glued to the inside of the console. I ordered a gallon of Professional Goof-Off from Amazon for about $44 delivered. Once that is all cleaned up I'll probably gelcoat it. I got a price for a 54" x 96" x 1/2" sheet of white Starboard from Gone Fishing Marina near me in MTK @ $385. I called one of my plastic suppliers today in Westbury and it's $210. The savings is well worth the trip and we'll do other shopping on the return. They have other colors and thickness in stock. Keep it in mind. I will probably shoot up there some time in late January. --Harry My email address is: hellis@optonline.net
