I posted on this boat as I was rebuilding an airboat at the time of his rebuild, I had a 454 and we bored and stroked to a 498 for severe duty airboat use, ya I read the thread on the IO 26 reg up in new York, im in south la and I haven't seen an IO regulator in person, I wouldn't see why a purpose built engine could beat a crate engine, a good engine builder is worth the extra coin, a lot of ppl want a warranty but if the engine is built right the engine builder will usually not charge you anyway cause that his name a reputation on the line. I haven't heard about the teak decks, im sure it came out nice

Did you ever repower, I have the same boat. Did you hear about this guy who put a inboard in his 26? He even put teak decks down. Do you know about this boat?
